Without Further Delay, Here's how the Contest Works...

You Enter

Get your creative juices flowing and start thinking about your best, worst, favourite, craziest, scariest, funniest, most memorable rides that you’ve experienced with your riding buddy. Think about how amazing it is to share your passion for the trails with that equally passionate rider. We know that great riding buddies come from all walks of life – friends, spouses, teammates, fathers, daughters, mothers, sons, brothers, sisters…like we said, all walks of life – so your riding buddy can be anyone, as long as they’re your riding buddy!

Once you’ve spent some time reflecting on all those great times you’ve spent together ripping it up on the trails, we want you to tell us why you and your buddy deserve to win this incredible prize package. We’re looking for a minimum of 500 words of insight that will convince our judges that the two of you are, without a doubt, the right team to win.

Simply put, in order to enter, you have to give some serious thought about what you want to say and then actually document it (at least 500 WORDS and in English please!) and submit it to us along with a picture with YOU AND your RIDING BUDDY TOGETHER.

Submissions will be accepted on our website from February 19th to May 18th, 2008. Entries that do not meet requirements stated above will not be accepted.

We Draw

Every two weeks during the open submission time, we’ll randomly draw one winner from all of the entries we’ve received. The bi-weekly winners will receive some sweet swag from our fantastic sponsors and will have their stories and pictures published in the What's New section on our website for all to see. Trust us, with the giveaways we’ve got lined up, it pays to enter early!

The Judges Pick

After May 18th, we’ll no longer accept submissions and we’ll turn over the mass of entries (including all the bi-weekly random draw winners) to our panel of judges for evaluation. The judges will scrutinize every entry and determine the top three of the lot.

The Masses Vote

On May 21st, we’ll post the chosen three right here on the website and open voting to the free world. That’s right, once the judges have determined their three favorites, we’ll turn the power over to the masses to cast their votes and determine the ultimate winner! Voting will remain open on our website for 3 weeks and will close on June 11th.

The Ultimate Winner Rides

And that brings us to the final announcement. On June 12th the grand-poobah winner will be announced on the website and the celebrations, planning and maybe even a little panic will certainly begin for that very lucky team.

Get 'Er Done!

So, not only do you have to get creative and submit your entry according to the contest guidelines (submit minimum 500 words, one pic of you both, one completed entry form), you’ll also have to ensure that you put in the time to train! You must be physically prepared to ride the 7 days of BC Bike Race in the event that your entry is the grand prize winner.

And yes, for those of you who are already signed up for BCBR 2008, you are eligible to win as well. All the same contest rules apply.
