Some Legal Tidbits: Racer Responsibility
By participating in a race of this nature, the rider assumes responsibility for their own safety and wellbeing while out on course. The race takes place in backcountry wilderness and the rider must be prepared for all challenges posed by location, course conditions, and weather. Riders must be aware that rescue and first aid will be limited by these factors as well. It is also the rider’s responsibility to ensure that they are physically prepared for the challenges of a multiday epic event of this nature.
