I (we) the registrant(s) understand that in the event that the race is cancelled or postponed as a result of (and not limited to) an act of God, Natural Disaster, war, strike, revolution, lack or failure of transportation facilities, laws or interventions or actions of statutory bodies, major accidents during the race, or other such causes, the BC Bike Race event organizers will make every effort to reschedule the race to a later date of their choosing. If the registrant can not make the rescheduled date, the registrant acknowledges that NO REFUND or CREDIT to future races will be granted.
Race closure or course alteration: no refund or credit should be offered if a race stage(s) is cancelled or postponed or rerouted or shortened after the race has begun.
IN CASE OF INJURY: I (we) the registrant(s) agree that in the event of an injury or medical condition a refund will not be granted under any circumstances. Only the injured/ailing registrant that has a signed doctor's note (and not the rest of the team who is not injured or ailing) will be able to defer his/her race fee until the following year's race. Exceptions can be made by the race organization if there is a wait-listed team available that is able to make payment in full, at which point a 90% refund will be granted to the injured team within 30 days of the team's written notification to the race officials. Teams may at any time find replacements and arrange to sell their team spot on their own but must immediately notify race officials of any changes.
IN CASE OF A TEAM CAPTAIN NOT FINDING A RACE PARTNER: In the event that a team captain registers a team but does not find a team mate by the March 1st deadline, a 90% refund will be issued ONLY IF there is a wait-listed team available that is able to make payment in full.
IN CASE OF A TEAM LATE WITH PAYMENT OF SECOND PAYMENT INSTALLMENT OR OTHER SCHEDULED PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS: Race officials reserve the right to cancel a team's registration and give a 90% refund of team money paid if a team is late in its second payment installment (due March 1st), or other payment arrangement, in order to make room for another team that is able to make payment in full.
