Carey Mark, Nanaimo BC

I believe that, in addition to being a mother of two and a high school teacher, my role is to model healthy living for women who enjoy cycling, running, adventuring. Motivating by encouragement and example, I continue to grow older, but life does not slow. It is the knowledge of living playfully, with goals in mind and friends at my side of that I love most. These gifts make healthy living an easy choice.  I would also like to share my pride in my high school mountain bike team’s efforts. I have approximately 15-20 club riders each year. I took 3 boys to provincials last year, for some top ten finishes.  Now racing for the BC Bike Race Ambassador team 2017. I will be representing BCBR and Rocky Mountain Bicycles for the 7 day epic BC Bike Race, provincial marathon events, as well as at Canada Cup events. I am ecstatic about this opportunity to travel, represent women in sport and to continue to improve my race results and well being. Let the New Year begin!
